Sophia, George and Olivia Wells are the new owners of the Tatura Hot bread Bakery and are committed to making your visit a memorable experience. Olivia is the baker behind the business and will continue with all the classics, and will bring new creative products to the bakery. We are sure to continue to provide the same enjoyable experience as Glenda and Jeff has the previous years so pop in today and try something new.
OUR NOTORIETY
In 2007, Tatura Hot bread featured on the Great Outdoors television show with Shelley Craft doing the story, and due to public demand, we opened on Sunday and now trade 7 days a week.
In 2009, Tatura Hot Bread featured on Coxy’s big Break television show with Coxy learning how Award-Winning Vanilla Slices are made.
Tatura Hot Bread has also featured in the Herald Sun newspaper’s Top 5 vanilla slices and also top 5 lamingtons on numerous occasions.
The bakery has won numerous awards for our bread, pies, cakes and pastries culminating in winning Bakery of the Year and Bakery Trainer of the year in Victoria for 2009 by the Baking Industry Association of Victoria.
Our business operated using only a traditional woodfire oven (above) up until April 2008, when we commenced our renovations. The oven is now a feature in our seating area.
